A twenty-piece village in plain white ceramic rather than the painted resin most village sets use. The five houses are moulded with cut-out windows and doors so an LED tea light inside throws the window pattern onto the wall behind them. From the supplier’s package artwork the tallest house is 8.4 in on a 3.2 by 3.2 in footprint, and the group includes a tall townhouse, a stepped terrace, two square houses and a church with an arched door.

Nine mini bottle-brush trees come in three styles: snow-tipped, plain green and frosted white, on natural wood discs. The tallest measures 10.2 in and the smallest 3.9 in, which gives you enough range to build a proper skyline rather than a flat row.

Five battery LED tea lights are included, one per house, and a single two-button remote turns the whole set on and off at once. That matters more than it sounds: reaching into five ceramic houses to flick five switches every evening is the thing that stops most village sets being used after the first week.

What the supplier does and does not tell you

CJ’s own written description mentions five houses, nine trees and a remote, but not the five tea lights. Those appear in the supplier’s package artwork, which is where our figure comes from. It also gives no battery type for the tea lights, no run time and no remote range, and we are not going to guess at any of them. Ask us before ordering if that matters and we will check with the supplier.

The weight field is deliberately blank

CJ publishes a pack weight of 500 g, which is 1.10 lb, for a set containing five ceramic buildings up to 8.4 in tall. A single ceramic house that size weighs more than that on its own. The figure is not credible, so rather than publish it we have left the weight empty. The carton is 600 by 600 by 600 mm, which is consistent with a bulky twenty-piece set. This item ships free, so your delivery cost is unaffected.
