Description

Thirty six small gift boxes printed as tiny houses, with a scalloped roof, a white arched window and a Christmas tree on the front. They arrive as flat blanks and fold into shape without glue or tape. Once folded, a flap closes the top and the included jute twine ties it shut, which is what turns a box into a present.

Size

Each box is 10.5 centimetres tall, which is 4.13 inches, by 7 centimetres wide (2.76 inches) and 5 centimetres deep (1.97 inches). That holds a small handful of sweets, two or three biscuits, a bath bomb, a small ornament or a piece of jewellery in a pouch. It does not hold a mug. Check that against what you intend to give before you commit.

Assembly

The supplier supplies a six step fold diagram and it is genuinely a six step fold: tuck the base, form the walls, fold the roof panels, thread the twine. Fifteen seconds each once you have done a few, so the whole set is about ten minutes at a kitchen table. Because they ship flat, the whole thirty six takes up less space than one assembled shoebox until you need them.

What they are for

Classroom favours, a work Secret Santa where everyone gets the same thing, table settings at a Christmas dinner, party bags, or the small extras that go around the base of a tree. The kraft and white palette sits comfortably next to natural decorations, which is the reason to choose these over the shiny foil versions.

On the price, plainly

At $85.99 for thirty six boxes this is the least obviously good value in our Christmas Gifts range, and we would rather say so than hope you do not notice. What you are buying is a die cut, printed, glue free box with the twine included, thirty six times over. If you only need six favours, buy plain kraft boxes and a roll of our Christmas ribbon instead. If you are catering a class or a team, the per box cost lands where this kind of thing usually does.

A note on the data

Our supplier publishes a pack weight for this item that is not physically possible for a stack of folded card, so we have left the shipping weight off the listing rather than repeat it. The carton size it gives is consistent with 36 flat blanks and we have kept that.

Ordering in time

Handling is 1 to 3 business days and transit is 5 to 9 business days. The last order date for Christmas delivery is Monday December 7. Allow yourself a few extra days if you plan to fill them.
