A 12 by 20 in lumbar cover in a cotton and linen blend, printed in cream script on a clear red ground. The lettering is the whole design: a lowercase “merry” over a tall “Christmas” with a long swash on the C, filling the width of the cover. There is nothing else on it, which is why it works on a sofa that already has a lot going on.

The fabric is the thicker end of a cotton-linen blend rather than a thin printed cotton, so it holds its shape on a sofa arm or behind the small of your back instead of collapsing. A hidden zipper runs along one edge with the stitching neatened over it, so the closure does not show from the front.

Cover only, front print only

This is a cover. There is no insert, and you will need a 12 by 20 in pillow form to fill it. The print is on the front face only; the back is plain red. Both of those are normal for covers at this size and both are worth knowing before it arrives.

Quantity, plainly

You are buying one cover. CJ’s own title uses the plural “Pillow Covers” and its description reads as though it came from a multi-design set, mentioning gnomes and buffalo check trucks that appear nowhere on this product. All four of the supplier’s photographs show a single red lumbar cover with the script print, and that is what we have listed. At $56.99 for a single 12 by 20 in cover this is the most expensive way to buy one Christmas cushion cover on this site, and we would rather say so than let you find out at the checkout. It is the price the supplier’s cost sets, and the fabric weight is the justification. The two pack of 18 by 18 in plush covers is the better value per cover if you are dressing a whole sofa.

CJ publishes a pack weight of 400 g, which is 0.88 lb, in a 400 by 300 by 300 mm carton. Wash cool, line dry, and press on the reverse to avoid glazing the print.
