Musical Christmas Snow Globe, Snowman and Puppies, 5.2 in with 8 Songs

Description

The globe stands 5.2 in tall on a base 4 in across, which is roughly the height of a soda can and a size that works on a hall table, a desk or a shelf rather than as a centrepiece. Inside is a snowman in a red knitted hat and striped scarf with two small dogs beside him, and the usual snow that settles over about twenty seconds after a shake.

The base does the work. It is battery operated, plays eight Christmas songs, and lights the scene from below with a colour-changing LED that cycles slowly rather than flashing. The base itself is moulded and hand-painted with candy canes, paw prints and a French bulldog wearing a Santa hat, so it is decorative even with the music off.

A note on the supplier’s own description

CJ titles this product “Gingerbread Man Village House In Cup”. It is none of those things. There is no gingerbread man, no village house and no cup. The photographs and the supplier’s own size diagram both show the snowman and puppy scene described above, and that is what we have listed. If you are shopping for a gingerbread snow globe specifically, this is not it.

CJ publishes no specification block for this item at all, so there is no stated battery type, no song list and no run time. We are not going to invent them. What we can confirm from the supplier’s own artwork is the 5.2 in height, the 4 in base, the eight songs, the colour-changing light and the battery operation. Ask us before ordering if the battery format matters to you and we will check.

The shipped weight is 2000 g, which is 4.41 lb, in a 200 by 100 by 200 mm carton. That is a heavy little object for its size, which is consistent with a glass globe on a solid base rather than an acrylic one. Keep it out of direct sun: a filled glass sphere in a sunny window behaves like a lens.

Orders placed by Monday December 7 are expected to arrive before Christmas, allowing 1 to 3 business days of handling and 5 to 9 business days in transit.
