A string of lights takes an afternoon on a ladder and covers one roofline. This covers up to 100 square feet of wall from a single stake in the lawn, at a throw distance of up to 33 feet, and setup is pushing the stake into the ground and pointing it. Red and green, separately or together

The projector runs red alone, green alone, or both at once. Red alone suits Halloween. Green alone works for an eerie wash across shrubs and tree trunks. Together they read as Christmas, which is the reason this one earns its storage space: the same unit covers October and December instead of sitting idle for eleven months.

Control the motion

Choose constant-on or flashing, with six dot speeds and six line speeds. Slow settings look like drifting fireflies and hold up to being looked at for a while. Fast settings read as energy and suit a party. Slow is usually the better choice for a house front, because motion that is too quick turns into visual noise from the street.
