Unlit Artificial Christmas Tree, 6, 7 or 8 ft with Folding Stand

Description

A plain green tree, in three honest sizes

There is a case for a tree that does nothing clever. No flocking to shed, no built-in lights to fail, no colour that dictates your ornaments. This is a green PVC tree in 6, 7 and 8 foot heights on a folding metal stand, and its job is to hold whatever you already own.

Pick the height by your ceiling, not your corner

The usual mistake is buying to fill a space and then discovering the topper will not fit. Measure floor to ceiling, subtract the height of your topper, and subtract a few more inches so the tree does not look wedged in. Under 8 foot ceilings the 6 foot is usually right. At 9 feet the 7 foot works well. The 8 foot needs a room with real height, and it is a two person job to put up.

Branch density rises with height

The tip count goes up with the size: 518 tips at 6 feet, 774 at 7 feet and 1136 at 8 feet. That keeps the proportions consistent instead of stretching the same number of branches over a taller frame, which is what makes a cheap tall tree look see-through. In every size, plan on twenty to forty minutes the first year spreading the tips outward and slightly upward from the trunk. It is the highest return you will get on any time spent decorating.

Unlit, which is the durable choice

Pre-lit trees are convenient for a season or two. When a section of lights dies, and eventually it does, you are left with a dark band you cannot replace without unpicking the tree. An unlit tree outlives its own lighting. Wrap your own string, swap warm white for colour when you feel like it, and replace a failed string in ten minutes instead of replacing the tree.
