27 in Woven Christmas Tree Collar, Rustic Natural Wood Tone

This is the lighter of the two colourways of the same woven tree collar. The natural wood tone is a pale honey colour that reads closer to raw basket weave, where the coffee version is a deeper brown. If your room runs to warm neutrals, oak floors or cream walls, this is usually the easier of the two to place.

Size and fit

It measures 26.8 in across the bottom, 19.7 in across the top opening, and stands 8.7 in tall. The supplier states it suits trees from 82.7 in to 106.3 in, roughly 6.9 to 8.9 ft. Treat that as a proportion guide. The number that decides whether it will work in your house is the width of your tree stand, which has to pass through the 19.7 in top opening. Measure the stand at its widest point first.

Assembly and storage

Three curved panels ship flat and join into a ring using the metal rings supplied. No tools, no glue, and it comes apart the same way at the end of the season, so it stores as a flat stack rather than a bulky hoop.

Materials, honestly

The weave is plastic over a metal wire frame, not natural rattan. At a distance it passes convincingly for a woven basket; close up you can tell. What you get in exchange is a collar that will not shed fibres onto the floor, will not split if it gets damp from a watered tree, and can be wiped down. The wire is what holds the ring round rather than letting it sag.

Why a collar instead of a skirt

A collar stays where you put it. There is no fabric to bunch, no edge for a cat to sit on and drag out of place, and it puts a rigid ring between a crawling child and the tree stand. The tradeoff is that it does not catch needles or absorb water spills, so with a real tree you will still be sweeping around it.

Note that the pale finish will show scuffs and dust more readily than the coffee version, particularly if it lives on a dark floor.
