Electric Climbing Santa on a 25.6 in Ladder, Battery Operated

Description

A Santa figure on a motorised drive that pulls him up a plastic ladder and lowers him back down, over and over, for as long as the switch is on. The supplier’s size artwork gives the ladder as 65 cm, which is 25.6 in, and the Santa himself as 25 cm, which is 9.8 in tall, by 12 cm or 4.7 in wide.

The figure is PVC with a stitched plush coat, hat and boots, and carries a small green sack on his back. The ladder is moulded red plastic with a hook at the top, so it hangs from a branch, a curtain pole, a stair rail, a door frame or a mantel bracket. The battery compartment and the on/off switch are built into Santa’s back rather than into the ladder, which keeps the ladder clean-looking but means you handle the figure to switch it on.

Power is three AA batteries, not included. There is no mains adapter.

Music and light: what we can and cannot confirm

The supplier’s title for this product says “with Music and LED Light”, and one of its marketing images shows musical notes beside the figure. The supplier’s own written description mentions neither. We have left both out of our title because we can only confirm the climbing motion from the data CJ actually publishes. If music or a light is the reason you want it, ask us first and we will confirm with the supplier before you order.

Package data we do not trust

CJ publishes a carton of 150 by 100 by 100 mm for a product whose ladder is 650 mm long. That is not possible, so we have left the dimension fields empty rather than publish a box a 25.6 in ladder cannot fit inside. The published pack weight of 1002 g, which is 2.21 lb, is plausible for a plush figure plus a small motor and a plastic ladder, so we have kept it.

Indoor use. The motor and the battery compartment are not sealed against weather.

Orders placed by Monday December 7 are expected to arrive before Christmas, allowing 1 to 3 business days of handling and 5 to 9 business days in transit.
