A three-ball snowman built on a white steel frame rather than as a stuffed figure. The frame carries a plush-covered mesh skin studded with several hundred cool-white LEDs, so the whole body glows evenly instead of being lit from one point, and a separate string of coloured C7-style bulbs runs across the twig arms and the chest.

The detailing is better than most figures at this size: a black glitter top hat with a knitted band, a holly sprig and printed snowflakes, a ribbed red scarf that hangs down the front, four black buttons, a small orange carrot nose and a stitched smile. The arms are fabric-wrapped twigs with forked ends.

The base is a white steel ring with four spokes and a centre post, and the body is tensioned to it with hooks and wires. The supplier describes the plush as weather resistant and lists the figure for both indoor and outdoor use. The ring base is made to sit on the ground rather than on a table, which tells you the designer had a porch, a lawn or a doorway in mind. No IP rating is published, so if you site it outside, keep the transformer and the plug under cover and bring the figure in for a heavy storm.
