2 Pack Santa Hat Chair Back Covers, Red Flannel

Description

A pair of Santa hat covers that pull down over the back of a dining chair and turn a plain chair into part of the table setting. They are made from a red flannel with a white plush brim along the bottom edge and a white pom-pom at the point, and they slip on and off in a second with no ties, clips or elastic to fiddle with.

Sizing is the thing that decides whether these work. The supplier’s specification block gives 23.6 by 19.6 in; its written description gives approximately 25.4 by 19 in. Those are close enough to describe the same cover and far enough apart that we are quoting both rather than picking one. Either way they are cut for a standard dining chair back: a rectangular or gently curved back roughly 16 to 19 in wide. They will not fit a wide upholstered carver or a chair with an open ladder back that the pom-pom can fall through.

Two covers, not four

You are buying two. The supplier’s own written description says “set of 4” in one place and its variant list offers 2, 4 and 6 packs, and some of its photographs stage four chairs. We list the two pack because that is the quantity approved at this price, and we have left the four and six packs off until they are priced properly. If you need four or six, ask us and we will quote them.

Material and care

Flannel is the right fabric for this job: it has enough body to hold the hat shape without a stiffener, it does not slide off a polished chair back, and it is comfortable to lean against, which matters for a cover people sit against for a three-hour dinner. The supplier rates it as wear resistant and reusable season to season. Spot clean, or wash cool and reshape damp; do not tumble the plush brim hot.

CJ publishes a pack weight of 1002 g, which is 2.21 lb, in a 610 by 508 by 76 mm carton, and its specification block independently gives 2.21 lb. The two figures agree, which is worth noting because much of the supplier data in this category does not.

Orders placed by Monday December 7 are expected to arrive before Christmas, allowing 1 to 3 business days of handling and 5 to 9 business days in transit.
