8.2 ft Inflatable Black Santa with Stop Sign, Built-In LED Yard Decoration

Description

A Black Santa in the classic red suit, one hand raised, standing beside a candy cane post topped with a red octagonal sign reading “Dear Santa Please STOP Here!”. It is the tallest piece in this group at just over eight feet, and the sign sits at the top, so it carries across a front yard from the street.

Full measurements are 59.1 x 29.5 x 96.5 in (150 x 75 x 245 cm). The 96.5 in is the true height, a fraction over eight feet, which is what the 8.2 ft on the supplier’s label is rounding. At that height it needs a reasonably open spot. Under a low porch roof or a tree canopy you will not see the sign, and the sign is most of what you are buying.

Power and placement

The built-in fan and adapter plug into a standard outlet and the piece stands up in seconds. The fan has to stay powered for it to stay up, so your outlet placement decides the display placement more than anything else does. Use an outdoor rated cord on a GFCI outlet, and run the cord along a fence line or bed edge rather than across a walkway. Seven built-in LEDs light both the figure and the sign from inside.

Anchoring

Eight ground stakes and four securing ropes come in the box, more than most inflatables this size include, which is appropriate given the height. Guy the ropes out at opposing angles rather than straight down. A tall piece pivots at the base, and opposing lines are what stop it. On hard surfaces where stakes will not hold, weight the base with sandbags. In sustained high wind, take it down: eight feet of fabric is a large sail and no anchoring kit is a substitute for judgment.

Polyester with plastic fittings. It deflates, folds flat and stores compactly. Two ropes and six stakes are the norm in this category, so the four and eight supplied here are a genuine point in its favour.
