Christmas Table Runner, 13 x 72 in, Navy Blue Trees and Snowflakes

Description

A 13 by 72 in runner printed on spun polyester woven to look like linen. The ground is a deep navy rather than the usual red or cream, which is the reason to choose it: navy sits well with wood, brass, pewter and greenery, and it does not fight with a red-heavy tree in the same room. Scattered white and gold snowflakes cover the field, and each end carries a row of stylised trees in gold, white and green.

At 72 in it suits a table seating four to eight. On a six-seat table it will hang a few inches over each end, which is the look most people want; on a smaller table, fold the ends under rather than letting them trail.

Material and care

Spun polyester is the right compromise here. It takes a sharp print, it is machine washable, and the supplier rates it as both fade resistant and weather resistant, so it survives an outdoor table on a mild day as well as a dinner service indoors. Real linen would drape better and crease worse, and would not hold this print. Wash cool, hang or tumble on low, and press on the reverse if needed.

The runner also does a practical job: it takes the marks from a warm serving dish, a dropped cranberry or a spilled glass instead of your table.

Shipping data

CJ publishes a pack weight of 603 g, which is 1.33 lb, in a 150 by 100 by 20 mm carton. That is a heavy figure for 0.6 square metres of polyester, so some of it is likely packaging; the box size is right for a folded runner. Nothing about it affects your shipping, which is free on this item.

There is a matching runner in the same range in pink, and a wider red version, both in this category.

Orders placed by Monday December 7 are expected to arrive before Christmas, allowing 1 to 3 business days of handling and 5 to 9 business days in transit.
