Warm White String Lights, 300 LEDs with 8 Modes, IP44 Rated

Description

The plain string you actually reach for

Every light collection needs one run with no shapes, no colour cycling and no personality of its own, because that is what you use for eighty percent of jobs. This is that run: 300 warm white LEDs on a clear wire, eight modes on a button, a standard US plug. It goes on a pergola, down a fence, around a window, along a stair rail, and it disappears into whatever it is lighting.

Warm white is a decision, not a default

Warm white sits around the colour of an incandescent bulb. Against brick, timber and greenery it reads as inviting. Cool white against the same materials reads as a car park. The difference is far more visible in photographs than in person, which is worth knowing if the point of the display is that people see it on a phone screen. If you are mixing this with lights you already own, check what you have before ordering, because two shades of white on one house looks like a mistake rather than a choice.

Bendable wire, and what that gets you

The wire holds a gentle shape rather than falling straight, so the string can be persuaded to follow a curve or stand slightly proud of a surface instead of lying flat against it. That is the difference between a run that looks placed and one that looks draped. It also means the string is easier to feed through a lattice or a trellis without constant retying.

IP44, so read the fine print

IP44 covers rain and splashing. It does not cover immersion, and the supplier is explicit that the string should not be used in water. In practice that means a pergola, a covered porch, a fence or a wall is fine; a run that sits in a gutter or a puddle is not. Keep the plug and controller under cover.
