5 Piece Wooden Gingerbread Gnome Centerpiece Set, 5.1 in Tall

Description

Five standing wooden pieces on the gingerbread theme, each slotted into its own flat wooden base so they stand upright on a table, a tray or a shelf. From the supplier’s size artwork every piece is 13 cm, which is 5.1 in tall, and the widths run from 7.6 cm to 12.5 cm, which is 3 in to 4.9 in.

The five designs are a gnome standing beside a stack of iced gingerbread gift boxes, a gnome tucked into an oversized cocoa mug with a gingerbread man on the side, a gnome inside a gingerbread wreath with a second gingerbread man hanging from it, a gnome next to a frosted gingerbread house with a candy bow, and a shorter gnome with a gingerbread cottage at his feet. The artwork is printed with glossy icing highlights and warm brown, red and green tones, so the set reads as baked goods rather than as painted wood.

Flat pieces, not figurines

These are printed wooden standees a few millimetres thick, not carved three-dimensional figures. That is clear from the package, which is 215 by 140 by 17 mm and weighs 200 g or 0.44 lb. Five solid figures would not fit in a box 17 mm deep. Seen straight on they are detailed and convincing; seen from the side they are a wooden profile. If you want depth, group them in a row with the tallest at the back rather than scattering them across a table.

A contradiction in the supplier’s data

CJ’s written description gives a height range of 5.8 in to 7.09 in. The supplier’s own size diagram gives 5.1 in for all five pieces. These cannot both be right. We have quoted the diagram because it is measured piece by piece and is internally consistent, but treat 5.1 in as the working figure and ask us if a specific height matters to your table plan.

Wipe with a dry cloth. Printed wood marks if it gets wet, so keep them away from the sink and off a tray that carries hot drinks.
