Light-Up Giant Halloween Spider, Battery Operated LED

Description

A spider the neighbors can see from the street

Most Halloween spiders are the size of a dinner plate and disappear against a dark porch. This one measures 47.2 inches across, which is wide enough to span a doorway, a hedge or most of a garage door, and the purple LEDs running through its legs keep it visible long after the sun goes down.

The legs are bendable rather than fixed. You can wrap them around a porch column, hook them over a gutter, splay them flat across a lawn or curl them so the spider looks like it is mid-crawl up the siding. Each spot gives you a different silhouette from the same decoration, which is why it tends to come back out year after year rather than sitting in the attic.

Battery power means no extension cord

It runs on batteries and draws 0.26W, so placement is not dictated by where your outlets are. That matters most for the spots that read best from the street: a roofline, an upstairs window, a tree limb, the middle of a yard. There is no cord to hide, tape down or trip over on a night when your walkway is full of kids.
