These are small trees, 1.97 feet tall, with black-wrapped trunks and 24 branches you can bend into any shape. The lights are not plain bulbs: they are warm yellow LEDs formed as pumpkins, bats and spiders, eight of each. Lit at dusk they throw a soft glow rather than a glare, which is why they work on a console table or a mantel where a brighter decoration would be overbearing.

Two trees, which matters more than it sounds

Decorations look deliberate in pairs. One tree on an entry table is an afterthought. Two flanking a door, a fireplace or a porch step reads as a designed display. At this size they also fit where full-height decor cannot: a windowsill, a bar cart, a reception desk, either side of a walkway.

Set the timer once

Switch the tree to the middle position and the 6 hour timer takes over: on for 6 hours, off for 18, repeating at the same time daily. Through October that means you set it once in the evening and never touch it again, and it is still lighting the porch when trick-or-treaters arrive whether or not you are home at dusk.
