Whimsical Pencil Christmas Tree, 6 ft with Curled Top and 400 Tips

Description

The curled top is the whole idea

This is a 6 foot pencil tree with a bendable top that curls over like something out of a storybook. You set the curve yourself, so it can lean gently or hook right over, and it holds whatever shape you bend it into. It is a playful tree and it knows it, which makes it a good fit for a child’s room, a shop window, a cafe or an entryway where a straight fir would just look like furniture.

Slim by design

The overall diameter is 17.7 inches on a 72 inch height, with an 11 by 11 inch steel base. That is a genuinely small footprint for a full height tree. It works in a hallway, a landing, a narrow alcove or either side of a doorway as a pair. The base is steel rather than plastic, which matters on a tall narrow tree: a curled top shifts the centre of gravity forward, so the weight low down is doing real work.

400 tips, shaped by you

The branches are easy to bend and hold position, so you can fan them out for a full look or leave them sparse and graphic. There are 400 tips, which on a slim profile is enough to look deliberate rather than thin. Allow twenty to twenty five minutes the first time, spreading the tips and setting the curl. After that it goes up quickly each year.

Practical notes

It is unlit, so you can wrap warm white, colour or nothing at all, and the sparse modern look holds up well with just a string of lights and no ornaments. The branches are flame retardant. Assembly is three pieces. It is intended for indoor use, so keep it out of the weather.
